This issue of the Journal of Contemporary African Philosophy brings together interdisciplinary philosophical reflections on some of the most pressing ethical and social challenges confronting Africa today. The contributions examine xenophobia and the dignity of African migrants, gender and relational ethics, drug abuse and the crisis of personhood, emerging questions surrounding artificial intelligence and brain-computer interfaces, competing ethical frameworks in bioethics and medicine, and the relationship between Indigenous Knowledge Systems, artificial intelligence, and climate change. Collectively, the articles demonstrate the continuing relevance of African philosophical resources - including Ubuntu, relationality, human dignity, virtue ethics, and Indigenous Knowledge Systems - in addressing contemporary questions of justice, personhood, technology, health, and ecological sustainability. The issue invites a critical engagement between African philosophical traditions and contemporary global debates, while highlighting the contribution of African perspectives to wider conversations on human flourishing and the future of society.
