Animism, Ideal State and Environmental Issues in African Philosophy

This journal issue examines political, cultural and environmental questions in African Philosophy.  Key issues analysed include the environmental impact of illegal mining on land, the notion of ‘ideal state’ based on underperforming leaders in Africa, and the concept of animism in African Philosophy. This volume demonstrate that issues such as environmental justice, good and desirable society and the knowledge and practices of animist healers remain important for African philosophical discourse.
